Robert Surprise, AZ March 5, 2023 I will start this review With a few good things .. In the start of the process things were good with communication, once the ball was rolling the communication became very poor and very inconsistent. My wife and I tried multiple times calling and sending emails and it would I either be not answered or answered multiple days later. I asked multiple times about what was due at the end for our down payment and was told multiple times the same exact amount. The day before closing it was almost impossible to get ahold of anyone by me or my wife we both work full time jobs so whenever something was needed it was always last minute we had ti rush to get it done and we did every single time without any delays.. I wish I could say that was the same on their part , I am an honest person so this review will honest. The day of closing comes and I contact title and of course the down payment amount was over 639 dollars more than what I was told the entire time, no one seemed to know where the extra amount came from..I was told several different reasons by several different peoples employees. I had to call title to get the correct reason. I have used peoples mortgage before and had a great experience, this time was just not the same. I felt like my wife and I were not a priority it felt more like we were just a number rather than a repeat customer.. I feel bad writing a negative review but with out a real true review how do you improve your business.. I am not out to get anything extra or bad mouth the business as a whole, but my over review for this experience is less than a three star experience.. My realtor was in the same position as far as communication went . In my opinion communication will make or break a client relationship.
Ps side note .. I also recommend my brother when I bought my last house so this would be three different opportunities they had to keep our business unfortunately because of this experience I will not be back! Carrie Hughes replied on March 6, 2023 |

Ashley Princeton, TX February 1, 2023 - [ ] I found this mortgage company through a teacher home buying program site, who claimed they will help with the whole home buying process from start to finish and have down payment assistance. Thus the reason I gave them fair because we ended up in the house, but the path we took I would never ever recommend to anyone. The biggest downfall of this business is communication. They lack communication throughout most of the important parts of this process, which led to some of the worst stress and anxiety my family and I had ever experienced. They did not communicate well with each other, so they did not have certain things prepared. They did not communicate with my family and I well, so we ended up spending money we did not need to, we were left out of important information, and consistently had many unanswered questions. They did not have things that seemed as if they should have been put together weeks prior to closing, so on the day of closing one of the companies were still waiting on paperwork. I honestly chose this teacher home buying program, who I assume worked with Peoples Mortgage, because I'm a first time homebuyer who needed guidance and down payment assistance. I received none of that. I honestly do not know what I have received from this Peoples Mortgage aside from getting me in the house, which is why I rated them fair, but things could have been communicated 100x better and clearly to all parties involved. That would have made this experience better and less stressful.

June 28, 2017 We had an amazing experience with Carrie and her team. From start to finish it was seamless. They always made sure to email or send us texts to update us. We never felt abandoned or like we didn't know what was going on, which means a lot to me since I always like to know what's going on or what's being held up. February 3, 2017 I have used Carrie two times now for my home loan needs and I have to say she raises the bar for her work ethic, extra effort, Communication, and caring about her customers. First time she worked very hard for me to be able to get my first home coming off of a Bankruptcy and contacted me after I had been in my home for awhile to offer me refinancing at a lower rate. I had no idea I could.
Second time, just recently, she worked very hard to get everything closed in time for me to get into my new house since I had to be out of the one I had sold by a set date. Thank you Carrie for keeping me from being homeless. In my opinion, you cannot do any better for your Home Mortgage needs than Carrie and will recommend her to family and friends as she works hard and deserves it. |

August 5, 2014 My Experience with Carrie was great and still is. she offered a great program on the purchase of my home. it was such a great program I left the lender I already had. It doesn't matter how many times I email her she always responds and gets me what ever information I requested. She even helped me find someone that got me a lower rate on my home owners insurance. She even at my request just recently looked at other programs for me to see if there was something out there that could help me reduce my house payment. I have never had anyone that is so willing to help like her and she never makes me feel like I am bothering her.

July 30, 2014 Carrie was a joy to work with and very knowledgeable. She was referred to me by another lender who didn’t handle the type of loan I needed. We were in two different cities 140 miles apart and did most everything over email and telephone. She was very easy to get in contact with and was always quick to respond to emails. She always kept me up to date with everything that was happening with the loan. The time that we did need to meet in person she was very accommodating. We were in town for something and she met us at a McDonalds to go over paperwork. This was our first time buying a home and Carrie made sure we understood everything. She was even very patient even with my millions of questions. All in all Carrie made the borrowing process very seamless and stress free.
